They should have honored their website and given me one book for every new referral that ordered as it say. For ME - the one that made the book and brought them all the new customers - they screwed. However - After many hours and days of waiting to talk to management about it, they made me show a screenshot to prove it was on their own website - and then said that the new referrals would have to call a number and give a case number if they wanted it free.

I made a travel photo book of a trip and shared it with 20 women on the trip telling them they could order it and get a free book with it. On their website under 'DEALS' it says "refer a friend Give and Get a free book." Well - NOT TRUE! They apparently stopped that earlier in the year but did not remove it from their website. I have been a loyal customer of Shutterfly for about 20 years. No longer a loyal customer after 20 years Quality has really gone down and they almost always make a mistake. And when you order items, the prints are not even that clear. It does not matter when you try to do this manually or automatically, it simply does not load multiple photos fast enough. It does not load up completely and accurately as well so you cannot trust the site to be the only keeper of your photos. Uploading photos to the site - a pain as well. Imagine the lost business because I cannot finish my project multiplied by all the annoyed users as well. I literally have a pile of unfinished work in MY Projects folder that I stopped returning to once the computer froze on me.

It is a major pain to use their website- full of bugs and so freaking slow it feels ancient! Imagine when trying to work on something and all of a sudden it freezes. I never waited long to talk to someone at CS.īeen using Shutterfly since 2003 and the whole experience has tremendously declined that for the last few years, been ordering from them like 1 item/project a year. I would use Shutterfly again the end product is very good, and their customer service is also. They aren't lying about 100% happiness being guaranteed. The books turned out beautiful, once you get it the way you want. (I edit the photos myself and don't need Shutterfly to do that.) I redid the set to my liking, and again received credit for the second set's books and shipping.

I was given advice on how to get the saturation and color that I wanted. I toned down the photos a bit to compensate for the high saturation, but then the books came back undersaturated apparently because I complained about the oversaturation in book 1! So I called customer service again, and went over things in detail. I called customer service and they gave me credit and shipping credit to make another set. The first set that arrived was oversaturated, which has been a problem with Shutterfly in the past. I ordered four 20-page 8" x 11" photobooks, all the same. They do follow up on their 100% Happiness claim
